Homeschool or 279Online scholars may be eligible for School Year 2022-23 P-EBT benefits
The USDA has announced that a new limited group of homeschooled and virtual learning scholars may be eligible to receive Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits for school year 2022-2023. To receive P-EBT benefits, homeschool and 279Online scholars must meet specific eligibility requirements. Your child(ren) may be eligible if they:
1. Attended an Osseo Area School at some point before the start of COVID-19, or were enrolled in kindergarten as a virtual or homeschooled student in school year 2020-2021.
2. Are currently not attending school in person due to concerns about COVID-19.
3. Would have been eligible for free or reduced-price meals had the student been attending school in person.
If your student meets the above requirements, the next step will be to complete a P-EBT Application for Benefits. Contact 763-391-7129 or firstname.lastname@example.org to have one mailed to your home. Income documentation will be required verifying your income and should be sent back with your application through the US mail. The application will be processed, and you will receive a results letter. If approved, you may be eligible to receive a P-EBT card from the state with funds loaded on it.
