Community Education

With programs for early learners, youth and adults, our Community Education department has you and your family covered. Learn more about the opportunities available throughout Osseo Area Schools.

Educational Equity

The Department of Educational Equity supports student learning by building staff capacity to institutionalize racial equity and cultural relevancy, as well as by effectively implementing practices that achieve and sustain equitable student achievement.

English Learners (EL)

The goal of English Learner (EL) instruction is to support English learners in achieving the English language proficiency needed to succeed academically and to realize personal, social, and career goals.

Facility Rentals

Learn about renting school or district facilities. Public schools are owned and operated by and for the community, and we welcome and encourage the use of our facilities by any individual, group or business.

Health Services

School nurses support a healthy learning environment for each student by responding to scholars’ health needs at school and by educating them about how to stay healthy.

Homeless

The McKinney-Vento Act provides homeless and highly mobile students with certain rights so they have access to opportunities that will help them meet the same high academic standards expected of all students in our district.

Housing Support Services

The Homework Starts with Home program is a partnership between Hennepin County, the YMCA of the North and Osseo Area Schools to provide rental assistance, case management and attendance and academic improvement for students and their families who are experiencing housing instability.

Non-Public Services

Osseo Area Schools partners with non-public schools (including home schools) located within the district boundaries and has supports available to students who attend these schools.

School Counseling

School counselors support student learning through three areas of development: educational, social/emotional, and career. Services are provided through classroom lessons, individual and group counseling, and other methods.

Special Education

Special education includes a wide array of programs and services designed to meet the needs of learners with disabilities. Special education and support services are available to learners, ages birth to 21, who have not graduated and who have been identified as needing specialized instructional services.

Transcript Requests

Requesting transcripts is easy because Osseo Area Schools uses Parchment to handle student transcript requests electronically. You are able to order your transcripts online, with the ease and 24/7 convenience of the web.

Transportation

Our transportation department provides safe and reliable transportation by utilizing more than 220 school buses and minivans for more than 6,500 safe and efficient bus stops every day.
