Rush Creek kindergarteners participate in Fall Festival

Rush Creek kindergarteners participate in Fall Festival

Although there may be snow on the ground, it hasn’t stopped the kindergarteners at Rush Creek Elementary School from celebrating the fall season with a fall festival. Students engaged in many fall-themed activities throughout the morning of the festival – in their classrooms, hallways and cafeteria.

The students had the opportunity to try out many activities, including balloon volleyball, leaf and pumpkin sweep, apple toss, candy corn toss, candy cane bowling, fall bingo, an obstacle course, pumpkin golf, pin the hat on the scarecrow and a candy pumpkin relay. Students could also get their face painted and get temporary tattoos. In the cafeteria, they played with pumpkin Play-Doh and had a fall snack.

The activity stations were run by many parent volunteers. The students loved being able to see their parents at their school while participating in the fall activities. None of the activities would have been possible without the dedicated kindergarten teachers, who organized and oversaw the whole festival.

The kindergarteners also enjoyed the festival because it allowed them to interact with students in other kindergarten classes who they wouldn’t normally see every day and meet new friends.
