Osseo Senior High puts on the musical Hello, Dolly!

Students at Osseo Senior High School (OSH) are getting ready for their upcoming production of Hello, Dolly! The musical follows the story of Dolly Gallagher Levi, a strong-willed matchmaker, as she travels to Yonkers, New York, to find a match for the miserly "well-known unmarried half-a-millionaire" Horace Vandergelder.

Students have been working hard for months putting together the performance. The cast is larger than the productions seen at OSH in the past few years. Junior Clarissa Kincaid plays the titular role of Dolly Levi. Horace Vandergelder is played by junior Brock Weumr. They are joined on stage by Leighton Bimberg, who plays Cornelius Hackl, Emma Nahr, who plays Irene Molloy, Amy Arias-Esquivias, who plays Minnie Fay and Jacob Johnson, who plays Barnaby Tucker.

“For many of these students, this is their Osseo drama debut, which is very exciting for them,” theater director Megan McDonough said.

In addition to the actors and dancers on stage, the musical is made possible by a live pit orchestra, the first an OSH production has had since the fall of 2019, bringing an exciting energy to the production.

Shows will take place on April 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 at 7 p.m. and April 24 at 2 p.m. in the OSH auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online until noon on the day of the show. Any remaining seats can be purchased at the door.
