Early Childhood & Family Education hosts Spring Social

Early Childhood & Family Education hosts Spring Social

Early Childhood & Family Education (EC&FE) hosted their annual Spring Social on the evening of May 17 at Willow Lane Early Childhood Center. Families with children ages birth through five gathered to participate in fun activities.

The spring social was a free family event for all current EC&FE families. Held each year at either Willow Lane or Arbor View Early Childhood Center, the spring social is the largest EC&FE family event of the school year and is put on in partnership with the Early Childhood Parent Teacher Organization and EC&FE staff.

At the social, families could learn about the importance of bike helmet safety and had the opportunity to get a helmet. At various stations around the building, scholars and their families could work on their building skills, play with bubbles, get a temporary tattoo or face paint, visit with the Willow Lane mascot and a minion, participate in arts and crafts, make their own drum, create using Play-Doh and play on the playground. Kids also had the opportunity to go in a fire truck, school bus, dump truck and tractor and pet the Brooklyn Center Police Department calming dog.
