Fall sports round-up
Check it out! Here’s a listing of district schools that participated in fall post-season matches and how they fared. This list will be updated as seasons conclude.
Note: Maple Grove Senior High School is noted as MGSH, Osseo Senior High School as OSH and Park Center Senior High School as PCSH.
Adapted Soccer
- PCSH Pirates lost in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
- Gaetano Sanders was named to the 2022 Adapted Soccer State All-Tournament Team.
Swimming and Diving
- PCSH sophomore diver Maya Woods placed 18th in the semifinals of the state diving tournament.
- MGSH team competed in the state tournament and placed 25th overall.
- MGSH sophomore Libby Bakker placed 10th in the 200 Yard IM state tournament and 3rd in the 100 Yard Backstroke.
- MGSH sophomore Kaya Flaherty competed in 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Butterfly state tournaments.
Football
- The MGSH football team defeated Rosemount 27-10 to be named the 2022 Class AAAAAA Football state champions.
- The OSH football team lost in the first round of the 2022 State Class AAAAAA Football Tournament.
Soccer
- The MGSH boys soccer lost in the semifinals of the state tournament, ultimately taking 4th place in the 2022 State Class AAA Soccer Boys Tournament.
Tennis
- The MGSH girls tennis team competed and lost in the first round of the 2022 State Class AA Tennis Tournament.
- MGSH girls tennis doubles partners, seniors Bethany Smith and Avery Spratt, lost in round one of the 2022 State Class AA Girls Tennis Doubles Tournament.
- MGSH girls tennis doubles partners, eighth grader Summer Ode and sophomore Maddie Larsen lost in round two of the 2022 State Class AA Girls Tennis Doubles Tournament.
Cross Country
- OSH junior Cade Sanvik placed 23rd in the 2022 Boys Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
- MGSH sophomore Gannon Farrens placed 24th in the 2022 Boys Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
- OSH sophomore Quinlan Rundquist placed 135th in the 2022 Boys Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
- MGSH freshman April Watson placed 32nd in the 2022 Girls Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
- OSH junior Jules Davis placed 46th in the 2022 Girls Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
- MGSH sophomore Kelsey Young placed 126th in the 2022 Girls Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
- MGSH eighth grader Mackenzie Laux placed 149th in the 2022 Girls Cross Country Class AAA State Tournament.
