VEX Robotics competitions are exciting events where teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to compete against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test on the playing field as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications and more. VEX Robotics is the world’s largest and fastest-growing global robotics competition for middle and high school. More than 10,000 teams from 32 countries participate in more than 750 tournaments annually. Each year, a theme with specific tasks for the robot to complete is chosen. The 2014-15 theme is Skyrise.
