Osseo Area Schools is forming an Enrollment and Capacity Management Task Force to involve parents, staff and community members in the district’s efforts to improve planning for enrollment and building use (capacity management).
The work of the task force will help the school district as it strives to meet a constantly expanding range of student/family needs and expectations while using limited resources to deliver a high quality educational program as efficiently and effectively as possible.
The Osseo Area Schools Enrollment and Capacity Management Task Force will:
- Design a long-range process and tool for staff to use for enrollment planning and the efficient and effective use of school buildings;
- Consist of two-thirds community members (parents/guardians, people who live and/or work in the district) and one-third employees; and
- Meet approximately twice a month for more than 12 months, beginning in February 2015 and concluding in approximately March 2016.
Employee members of the task force will be identified by the superintendent. Community members will be selected through an application process. District leaders anticipate that the number of applications will exceed the available positions on the Task Force. The selection team will strive to ensure that the group represents the diverse perspectives of the families and community members served by the school district.
The Task Force Charge provides more details, including meeting dates/times.
The application deadline is 4:30 pm, January 9, 2015; apply online or request a hard copy application by calling Colleen Wuollet at 763-391-7279.
