Fourteen Osseo Area Schools students have earned recognition from the National Merit Scholarship program for their exceptional achievement on the 2013 PSAT exam.

Maple Grove Senior Anthony Bogachev was named a semifinalist, placing him among the highest scoring entrants in each state, representing less than one percent of all U.S. high school seniors. Bogachev is among 16,000 semifinalists who are competing for 7,600 scholarships.

Additionally, 11 students earned National Merit Commended Student status from all three of our comprehensive high schools: Maple Grove Senior, Osseo Senior and Park Center Senior.

Two students were recognized by the National Achievement Scholarship program; Park Center’s Kaylah Carlson is a semifinalist and Osseo’s Majeed Sadiq-Adamu achieved Outstanding Student status. The National Achievement Scholarship program recognizes academically promising black students.
