supt search graphicThe ISD 279 School Board has named finalists for the position of superintendent of Osseo Area Schools.

The search firm of Ray and Associates, Inc. vetted 28 applicants based on their experience, academic background, and the qualities and criteria the school board had identified in its preferred superintendent profile. After screening by the search firm, ten candidates were given further consideration by the school board. The candidates who are advancing to first-round interviews are:

  • James Harris, superintendent, Daniel Boone Area School District, Douglassville, PA
  • Kelli Parpart, assistant superintendent, Osseo Area Schools, Maple Grove, MN
  • Erick Pruitt, area superintendent, Houston Independent School District, Houston, TX 
  • Marc Schaffer, assistant superintendent, Boulder Valley School District, Boulder, CO
  • Update 3/29/18: Rupak Gandhi and Krish Mohip are no longer finalists, having withdrawn from consideration

All interview sessions with the board are open to the public and will be held in the Board Room of the Educational Service Center, 11200 93rd Avenue North, Maple Grove. After each interview and/or presentation, audience members will have an opportunity to provide written feedback on each finalist.

Round 2 interviews 

On Tuesday, April 10 beginning at 12:30 p.m., finalists who advanced from the first round will be interviewed by the school board. Starting at 7 p.m., each finalist will return to make a brief presentation that includes a moderated question and answer component. (Times subject to change before April 10.)
