After a milestone show last year, Wastebasket Revue returns to the stage this spring for its 51st edition, performing April 11-15 in the newly renovated auditorium at Park Center Senior High.
This year’s theme pays homage to the classic film, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” During the show, audiences will see an “angel” visit the Wastebasket Revue mascot—also known as the WBR Can—to relay the notion that the show would not be the same without him.
For more than five decades, staff and community members from Osseo Area Schools have performed skits, songs and dances in this annual variety show to raise money for scholarships benefiting graduating seniors in the district. Throughout its storied 51-year history, Wastebasket Revue has raised more than $1.23 million for 840 post-secondary scholarships for Osseo Area Schools students.
Wastebasket Revue scholarship winners for 2018 are:
Maple Grove Senior High: Lauren Anderson, Emily Bui, Samantha Byun, Christina Heroux, Jennifer Holt, Precious Kennedy, Christopher Kwon, Lauryn Moline, Jace Newell and Sydni Schulte.
Osseo Senior High: Jacqueline Cvek, Jasmaine Haynes, Lyla Lor, Katelyn Scherping and Emily Sjelin.
