Model United Nations is an authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly, Security Council, or other multilateral body that introduces students to the world of diplomacy, negotiation and decision-making. The skills students learn through Model UN—including research techniques, writing, public speaking, problem solving and compromise—often prove to be valuable in their future academic and professional endeavors.
The Park Center Model UN team, led by teachers Sonia Nunez-Gibbs and Nancy Ziemer, began 10 years ago at North View Middle School and has since evolved into a high school team.
