Students delivery May Day cheer

Students delivery May Day cheer

On May 1, Kidstop school-age care students at Oak View Elementary School brought color, creativity and school community spirit to all staff with a surprise honoring May Day.

Students designed handmade baskets that were delivered throughout the building, brightening the day for all staff.

May Day, observed each year on May 1, is recognized around the world as both a joyful springtime tradition and a day to honor workers’ rights and contributions. In many cultures, it’s marked with dancing, flowers, festive decorations and the welcoming of warmer days.

Thanks to the thoughtful efforts of students and staff from Kidstop, a Community Education program, the school was filled with vibrant energy in celebrating the values of kindness, creativity and respect on this special day.
