Building a Better Future: Community informational meetings kick off on Tuesday, April 19
Osseo Area Schools is hosting three community informational meetings to share additional information on Building a Better Future and answer questions on it. The evening will begin with a 30-minute presentation and then transition to a conversational open house where participants are welcome to ask district and school leadership Building a Better Future questions on a one-on-one basis. The meeting dates are as follows:
- Tuesday, April 19 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Maple Grove Senior High School cafeteria. For those unable to attend, the presentation portion will be streamed online via YouTube.
- Tuesday, May 3 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Park Center Senior High School cafeteria. For those unable to attend, the presentation portion will be streamed online via YouTube.
- Tuesday, May 17 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Osseo Senior High School cafeteria. For those unable to attend, the presentation portion will be streamed online via YouTube.
This is the first time in nearly a decade that the community is being asked to reinvest in district schools to maintain services and address growing needs. The current voter-approved levies - operating and capital projects for technology - are set to expire soon. Together they make up approximately 15% of the district's financial resources.
