Birch Grove celebrates the arts with family art night
The hallways and classrooms of Birch Grove School for the Arts were alive with light, color and activity the evening of Nov. 7, when the school hosted Birch Grove Family Arts Night. The event offered 16 different art-based activities for families to explore, with each available activity listed on a Bingo card. Families could turn in Bingo cards with four or more activities stamped to be entered into a prize drawing.
The art activities included performance art activities such as a theater games and a puppet party room and a chance for families to get their drumming and dancing on with Drums Alive; creation opportunities like Play-Doh letters and shapes, Lego robotics, pinch pots and paper airplanes; and artistic endeavors including watercolor painting to music, bead jewelry, tinfoil painting and more.
