2025 bus safety poster contest state winners announced

Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 bus safety poster contest! This year’s theme was “Safety First, Safety Always.” All of the district first through third place winners advanced to the state competition. 

State winners include:

Pre-K

• First Place – Yanna Mandal
• Second Place – Mateo Nunez
• Third Place – Cora Frantzen 

Fourth Grade

• Second Place – Evelyn Broden
• Third Place – Abigail Coffin

Fifth Grade

• First Place – Lucie LeCocq
• Second Place – Kseniia Tovpeko

Eighth Grade

• First Place – McKenna Ueland

Special Education

• First Place – Love Thao
• Second Place – Zakiya Scott
• Third Place – Phusackda Insixiengmay

During the state competition, these winners were judged against the winners from other school districts who also placed first through third. These winners are then judged by divisions. Eighth grader McKenna Ueland was named as a Division 3 winner and sophomore Zakiya Scott was named as a Division 4 winner. Division winners move on to be judged at the National Contest.
