We welcome parent/guardian involvement in these advisory groups:

Activities Program Advisory Council (APAC)

APAC members serve in an advisory role to unite and inspire District 279 communities around activities and athletics for students; leverage system assets to ensure opportunities are available for all students; intentionally include diverse perspectives to gather feedback; and develop and recommend ideas for continuous improvement.

American Indian Education Parent Advisory Committee

The American Indian Education Parent Advisory Committee seeks to ensure that the school district is meeting the unique and culture-related academic needs of American Indian students.

Community Education Program Advisory Council (CEPAC)

The purpose of the Community Education Program Advisory Council is to assist in the development of the district's Community Education program; promote citizen involvement in the planned activities of community education; and more.

District Equity Leadership Team Advisory (DELTA)

The purpose of the District Equity Leadership Team Advisory is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Department of Educational Equity on the use of Integration Revenue. This is a multi-constituency stakeholder group, primarily composed of parents, that advises toward systemic racial equity and cultural relevancy.

District Planning Advisory Council (DPAC)

The District Planning Advisory Council helps to shape the future of our students, families and community members by providing community-based input and feedback in planning for and evaluating existing instructional programs.

District Technology Advisory Committee (DTAC)

The purpose of the District Technology Advisory Committee is to provide staff and community members with the opportunity to understand what is happening with technology in the school district, and to provide feedback on district strategic technology work moving forward.

Enrollment and Capacity Management Advisory Committee (ECMAC)

The purpose of the Enrollment and Capacity Management Advisory Committee is to analyze information affecting enrollment, capacity, and building use, and to generate observations and recommendations to be communicated to district administration.

FISCAL Advisory Team

The FISCAL (Financial Involvement School-Community Accountability Liaisons) advisory team helps to shape the future for students, families and community members in Osseo Area Schools by providing community-based input and feedback on district financial matters.

Human Sexuality Curriculum Advisory Committee (HSAC)

The Human Sexuality Curriculum Advisory Committee provides input to district curriculum writing teams in the areas of human sexuality and sexually transmitted infections. Committee membership is based on interest.

Security and Emergency Management Advisory Committee (SEMAC)

The purpose of the Security and Emergency Management Advisory Committee (SEMAC) [Formerly Risk and Emergency Management Advisory Committee] is to continuously improve and support the execution of the district’s Risk and Emergency Management Plan in order to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment in Osseo Area Schools.

Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC)

The Special Education Advisory Council provides an opportunity for parents/guardians of students receiving special education services to provide their perspective in matters related to special education. Any parent or guardian of a child with disabilities may participate.

Student Wellness Advisory Committee (SWAC)

The Student Wellness Advisory Committee advises on implementation, ongoing review, and evaluation of the school district wellness policy in order to improve the achievement of all students. Committee members serve in advisory roles to the district's wellness coordinators
