435 Policy: Qualification of Personnel

I.   All candidates for positions on the staff must have or be eligible for valid licenses or other qualification documents entitling them to serve in the assignments for which they apply, if such licenses or qualifications are a requirement of the position.  All current staff must maintain valid licenses or other qualification documents entitling them to serve in positions to which they are assigned, if such licenses or qualifications are a requirement of the position.

II.  It is the sole responsibility of the employee to maintain valid licenses or other qualifications that are a requirement of the position during employment with the District.

III. The District must annually report to the Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board: (1) all new teacher hires and terminations, including layoffs, by race and ethnicity; and (2) the reasons for all teacher resignations and requested leaves of absence. The report must not include data that would personally identify individuals.
