Levies for Learning and School Board Elections
Your vote on November 4 will have an important impact on the future of your local public schools. There are two school funding requests: an Operating Levy that will provide students more individual attention through lower class sizes; and a Technology Levy that will allow students to learn skills they’ll need to be competitive, productive, and prepared to succeed in the global economy. In addition, three seats on the ISD 279 School Board are up for election.

Minnesota Education Fair Visits ISD 279 on October 13
A Minnesota Education Fair for all junior and senior high school students will be held on October 13, 2008 at the following ISD 279 high schools: Maple Grove Senior High School from 7:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m.; Osseo Senior High School from 10:15 a.m.-11:45 a.m.; and Park Center Senior High School from 12:45 p.m.- 2:00 p.m.

District 279 Receives Excellence Award for Financial Reporting
Congratulations to Independent School District 279-Osseo Area Schools! For the 18th consecutive year, they have been awarded the Association of School Business Officials International's (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Program (COE) for excellence in the preparation and issuance of the fiscal year end 2007 school system.
