Information and Support Group for Parents of Children with ADHD, ADD, LD, EBD, ODD, OCD, Autism, Depression, and other learning and behavior differences.

O.A.S.I.S. is sponsored by Weaver Lake Elementary School, ISD 279 Department of Special Education and Community Education. Our program is open to all parents, caregivers, and staff.

PACER WORKSHOP ADDRESSES SPECIAL EDUCATION
AND PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Pacer Center is offering a free workshop titled, “Special Education: What Do I Need to Know".

When:     Tuesday, January 25, 2011

Time:       6:30 to 8:30 PM

Where:    PACER Center, 8161 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington, MN.

 

  This workshop will cover topics such as:

• Why is it important for parents to be involved?
• How can I work effectively with the school?
• What do I need to know about the evaluation process?
• How do we make the IEP fit the child?
• How do special education and regular education work together?
