A Program In Which Parents, Teachers, and Children Are Partners In Learning Together!!

The components of most ECFE classes are

  1. GROWING TOGETHER: Time for you and your child
The first half hour of each class is devoted to activities planned by a licensed early childhood educator for you and your child(ren) to explore together. Together you can enjoy learning through art, music, stories, and a variety of developmental activities. It is also an opportunity to learn new ideas, games, and activities that you can do at home.

  2. GROWING INDEPENDENTLY: Time for your child
The remaining portion of each class is for children to have fun learning through play using art, science, movement, fingerplays, games, and stories with the early childhood educator, the paraprofessional and the other children. New friendships are formed and children discover new aspects of me while they are apart from you. The goal of the children's program is to develop a healthy self-concept and a joy of learning.

  3. GROWING CONFIDENTLY: Time for you
While children take part in the children's program, parents join with other parents in an informal group setting for discussion time led by a licensed parent educator. The challenges of being a parent are enjoyable, complex, and at times stressful. Parents have the opportunity to choose and discuss current family topics, share ideas and concerns, and feel encouraged by the support of others. Parents and children in baby and selected other classes do not separate. Each toddler class will decide when they are ready for separation.
