What is 4 Star Express?
4 Star Express is a unique child care & preschool program that jump
starts your child's readiness for Kindergarten.
Offered as a collaborative between Oak View Elementary, Woodland Elementary,
and the District 279 Community Education Kidstop program, 4 Star Express
integrates children into the school setting for parts of each day, providing
your child wonderful opportunities in readiness for his or her Kindergarten
experience, in addition to outstanding and secure child care.
The 4 Star Express Philosophy
The purpose is to provide a cooperative and developmentally appropriate
child care/preschool program that supports the care and early learning
needs of four year old children in a school setting.
The Program Offers
- A jump start to Kindergarten Readiness
- Theme based developmentally appropriate
curriculum including:
- social skill building
- literacy skill building
- music & creative arts
- technology, media, & computer
- physical education
- science & math
- cooking
- positive play
- Child care
- Field trips
- Daily breakfast and snack
- Access to school lunch
- Mentoring opportunities
- Progress conferences
Eligibility
4 Star welcomes all children who are eligible for Kindergarten beginning
the 2007 - 2008 school year. Your child must be 4 years of age by September
2, 2008.
Days and Hours
- 6:30 am - 6:00 pm, Monday thru Friday
- September 2, 2008 - June 5, 2008
- 4 Star Express is open on most non-school
days and is included in the weekly tuition.

Tuition
- $205 per week
- Paid in 40 equal payments due the first day of each week
- Part time enrollments are not available for 4 Star Express students.
4 Star Express is 100% funded through tuition fees.
