Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience? I’m currently taking classes at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in pursuit of my Principal Licensure. I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Social Work and I still have an active Social Work license for the state of Minnesota. I’m going into my seventh year of service for District 279. I previously worked as a Cultural Liaison for 5 years. This is beginning my 2nd year as an Administrator for Park Center. I worked in several Social Work positions and a Juvenile Detention center in Des Moines, Iowa before moving to Minnesota. How long have you worked at Park Center? 2006 What is your teaching philosophy? Relationships and learning go hand in hand. I believe all students can learn if they have someone who believes in them. Why did you choose your profession? I feel like this profession found me. My previous work experience led me to this position and I feel it’s a good fit for me at this point in my life and career.
