Where did you go to school and what is your previous job experience?

I have a B.A. from Moorhead State University, and a M.A. in Educational Administration from Saint Mary’s University and a K-12 Principal's License from Saint Mary’s University. I worked four years as a Cultural Liaison at Brooklyn Junior High. Before coming to education, I worked four years in Social Work and Juvenile Probation in Hennepin County.

When was your first year at Park Center?

August of 2005

Why did you choose your profession?

I love working with students and building positive relationships. I want to see students gain the necessary skills to become prepared for life. Working with tomorrow’s future helps me stay young.

What is your teaching philosophy?

As educators we must understand, for students to excel in learning, we must create high expectations for all students, address the learning needs of the whole child, and create lessons and activities that help students to understand the essentials that can be applied to real life, and have fun learning.

In the Student Services Offices

sports, spending time with family and bike riding

Advice for students going to college?

Stay away from the credit card applications hanging on every wall. In addition, stay focused and determined to accomplish all your goals.

Biggest pet peeve?

People on cell phones that talk so loudly that everyone can hear their conversation.

If you were required to find a different job then what you are currently doing, what would you choose?

I would want to be real estate broker.
