·        Several scholarships given to District #279 seniors

·        Based on academic achievement, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership, honors and awards and financial need.

WALLIN SCHOLARSHIP                                                                           DEADLINE: 1/15

 

• Several $16,000 scholarships awarded to Park Center seniors.
• Must have minimum GPA of 3.4  which includes at least two rigorous college-prep courses per year (9-12)
• Must have ACT minimum composite score of 22.
• Must plan to enroll in a bachelor’s degree program at a four year college in Minnesota, North or South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, or a Historically Black college
• Family taxable income must be under $75,000 and have moderate assets.
• Also, the net cost of college after other scholarships and financial aid have been awarded must total at least $4,000 per year.

ALPHA KAPPA Psi SCHOLARSHIP FUND (UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA

                                                                                                             DEADLINE 1/29

·    These scholarships offered through the Carlson School of Management at the

    U of M.  This is a co-ed professional business fraternity. Scholarships offered to

    qualified students who are admitted to the Carlson School and include housing at

    the fraternity on campus.  You do not have to be a member of the fraternity to be

    eligible.

NORTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY                                     DEADLINE 2/1

 

·    There are various scholarships offered to incoming Freshman in various amounts.

·    Students must have an ACT composite of 23 or SAT score of 1050 (math & verbal combined or higher, a GPA of 3.5 or higher

KFC COLONEL’S SCHOLARS PROGRAM                                            DEADLINE 2/10

·    You must be a graduating senior, with a minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher

·    Awards could mean up to $5,000 per year

NORTH HENNEPIN AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE                  DEADLINE: 3/1

 

·    $500 scholarship for senior at Brooklyn Center, Park Center, Maple Grove, Osseo or Champlin.

·    Based on desire to pursue a career that would lead to employment within a business or the operation of a business.

·    Must have well defined career/educational objectives.

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA INFORMATION  shares the following information from the Office for Equity and Diversity regarding scholarship opportunities for historically underrepresented students for the 2010-2011 academic year…..                  DEADLINE 3/1

 

·        If you graduate from a Minnesota high school and have been accepted to the University of Minnesota for the school year of 2010-2011 and are a student of color, you should consider applying for the Puckett Scholars Program. ·    Beta Pi Chapter of Beta Theta Pi will e awarding (1) $1000 and (2) $500 scholarships to incoming freshman at the U  of M.  Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. Membership in the fraternity is not required as part of this scholarship.  Pick up applications in the CRC

 

MNACC STUDENT OF COLOR SCHOLARSHIP                                   DEADLINE 3/26
