Some teachers suggest that students consult the Lexile Framework for Reading when selecting books to ensure that books are at an appropriate reading level for them. The Lexile Framework for Reading web site consists of a large database listing reading codes for thousands of books. It also provides an explanation on how to apply these reading codes when selecting a book. Students needing additional information about this tool should speak to one of the reading teachers at Park Center.
