Exercise Animation 1

Before you begin, go File...Save As this Wordpad document to your Exercise Folder on your harddrive. Save as Firstname.LastName.Exan1.htm.
Now, begin your work on your harddrive copy.

#1. Create a simple animation of your first name moving in any direction on a background that is 200 pixels by 200 pixels. Use any colors you wish. Make a judgement of how many frames to use. Remember, the more frames the smoother the animation but the larger the file size. Create this animation with the idea that it will be seen on home modems as well as ethernet connections. When you are done with it optimize it and save it into your exercise folder as firstname.lastname.an1.gif. Put in the html to make it appear centered between this question and question #2.

#2. How many frames did you use?

#3. How large is the file size?

#4. How long would it take a 56k modem to load this image?(hint: See the image window in Image Ready.)

Create a new folder in my Exercise An1 folder on the server. Title the folder with your firstname.lastname. Save this html document into your folder. Do a File....Save As....Firstname.Lastname.exan1.htm an extra copy into your newly created folder on the server. Also, save your animated image into that folder on the server. Open up your exercise on the server in a browser to make sure it appears the way your want it.
