Grading Mechanics

Grades will always be posted on Monday. All work is due the day it is due! If it is anywhere from 1 second to 1 week late, I will give you half points. After 1 week, it is no longer worth any points.
Participation
You will be graded by the teacher on class participation. Since this is mostly a hands on class, approximately 15 percent of your grade will be assigned for staying on task, not surfing the Internet, email, etc.
Assignments and Labs
Assignments and Labs are mostly paper assignments. Some are turned in individually and some in groups or pairs. They have a specific due date. If they are from 1 second to 1 week late, they are worth half points. After 1 week the assignments are not worth any points.
Tests and Quizes
Some of our tests/quizes are Rholl generated. Some of our tests will use the online Cisco Testing system in California. These tests will be difficult since we do not cover the entire chapter, but they will be graded on a curve for fairness.
Home Networking Project
Their will be one major project in this class. You will design a home networking setup. It will be in a research paper format and will be due on the final day of class.
