Mirrors

The image of a figure,
Lies truly in the eye,
For one may see a smile,
While another sees a sigh,

But mirrors hold only truth,
And reflect an image clear,
While the mind creates a notion,
That's based on how we rear.

One may see a conflict,
While another sees a pact,
One may see wrong,
While another sees exact.

Mirrors reflect an image
That the mind can't control,
In every waking moment
They expose your eternal soul.

When tears spill down your cheeks,
The mirror proves you cry,
For people on the other hand
The image lies truly in the eye.
