Hello, welcome to the Wheels and blades website I hope you learn something from your visit to this site. This may take awhile so have a seat on the skateboard bench.

Wheels and Blades is a Phy. Ed. elective with a fantastic twist. Rather than playing different kinds of sports with other people, it's about traveling to other places on different forms of transportation for exercise, but with the different kinds of sports in between it all. Most people don't see this as tiresome, but rather a great form of fun (for school at least). you go to a variety of places, and you could even make a few friends, or at least a few mates to travel with.

To succeed in this class, you're probably going to want to have the following things

  • A MODE OF TRANSPORTATION. (see items page if confused)
  • A GOOD ATTITUDE.
  • A UNIFORM... now that Mattson's GONE we have no choice really...
  • A LOCK for your locker, and make sure when you put your lock on, you put it on correctly!!! (so that your idiot friend doesn't get your pants taken away.)

Alright, you won't see many of these people in Wheels & Blades...

But it's ok, a cool guy like me will always be around for this class. You know, a good thing about Wheels & Blades is it requires the ability to be active, lazy people probably won't get by too well in this class, so you have to be in shape to pass! Physical activity can be achieved in preparation for this class simply by being active outside of the class. Whether it be using your method of getting to a place, (Other than a car!), or just taking a walk, you can be ready for the trips that you take in this class.

To get started, work on exerting your physical limits daily, you have to commit to it, otherwise you'll get lazy and start falling behind, which in this class is NOT ALLOWED!

Of course, you don't have to be this good to handle the daily routine of Wheels & Blades, just as long as you are in shape, and have a sense of balance to maintain a good riding speed, you should be fine. And don't worry, you won't be jumping down humongous stairsets or handrails

STAYING IN SHAPE IS IMPORTANT SO STAY IN SHAPE!

    Tips For N00BS!

Alright, alright, it's your first day in class... you probably don't know what's going on. And your teacher is babbling about what's going to go down for the trimester... and stuff. Well, this is a no brainer, rolling around on wheels is probably the simplest way to explain the whole class... and rock climbing... don't forget that you'll be rock climbing.

Your first option is going to be whether or not to switch out of the class or not, cause rolling around going to places might seem stupid. But you're in High School now... uhhhm, yea, so you should know by now that you treat your teachers with respect, right? Well, yea, you should. Surely you're going to get a lock to put your clothes in, (that's right, uniforms).

But that's not all so bad, at least you have a place to stow your blades when you're done for the hour. There will definitely be an overview of what places you'll be going to, if and when you should bring money for snacks, or if it's too cold to even go outside. But no matter what, you should always be ready for what's to come in the day... a little rain never killed anyone that didn't already deserve to... according to Chuck Norris.

You're probably gonna want to have one of the following:
    • Rollerblades
    • A skateboard
    • A scooter
    • A bicycle
    • A lock
    • A uniform

That shouldn't be too much of a problem, so have at least the unform, a lock, and any of the four things up there, and you'll be set. That's all in the necessities department.

Common Question: " I thought you couldn't use any transportation equipment inside school?"

Answer: "You are only allowed to use the equipment during class and in the prohibited areas the class uses. The main area which you will be staying in is the G.Y.M for the days its too bad to go outside. And no you can not use the equipment to go around the school on any of the other floors."

    Another common question would be

    "What if I get lost?"

"A good way to avoid this question is that you have a friend to follow or you follow the group ahead and make sure you never lose sight of them. But if you actually do get seperated from the group a good thing to do is just go back to the school by the way you came."

If you have any additional questions go to your counselor or to one of the wheels and blades teachers and if you don't know who they are go to the teacher page on this site.

    Now don't you feel relieved?
