Bench Press

Bench Press works the Pectoral Muscles in the chest, and shoulders. Make sure to always have a spotter when benching.
The lifter begins by laying down on the bench so that you are looking up at the ceiling and your feet are able to touch the ground at the foot of the bench. Once in position, the lifter must have a spotter and have a firm grasp on the bar that rests above the lifter's head. Then with the help of the spotter, the lifter will lift the bar, with the apprpriate weight on each side, and extend arms completely out in front of the lifter. Then the lifter must slowly bend their arms to the point where the bar slightly touches the chest of the lifter. Once the bar has touched the chest, then the lifter may extend their arms back out and that is the complete range of motion.
