The class textbook is titled, HTML 4 for the World Wide Web by Elizabeth Castro.
Each student is assigned one copy to be carried for use at home and in school. It includes
a brief history of HTML and explains how to use HTML from the very basics of how to create the document all
the way to publishing the page. The table of contents is very nicely laid out and easy to follow in case
a student just needs to find one particular tag.
This was also the only source I needed to look back at to design this Web page. Otherwise,
the course taught me all I know to both design this page, and explain the content.

The World Wide Web Consortium
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is a group whose goal is to make the Web more easily accessible by everyone. They stress the importance of universality and encourage it so that everyone can enjoy the Internet regardless of something such as their computer or browser. An example of an issue would be how some Web designers may create multiple versions of their page to satisfy the needs of different browsers. The W3C works to stop things like that. The W3C wants all companies to have the same standards for the Web as one another.
