Web Design I banner

Web Design I is a class new to Park Center starting in 2009. The class was formally known as Introduction to Programming: HTML. For those familiar with the HTML class, Web Design will be fairly similar and not entirely new.

In Web Design I, students will learn a multitude of skills to create their own Web site. Students will learn to use the principals of design in order to create the pages. The class will take advantage of XHTML, CSS, and Photoshop. The history of the Internet and World Wide Web will also be taught to the students. By the end of the course, students will publish their very own Web page that might be put onto the school's Web site. Prior knowledge of basic computer skills, such as keyboarding, is highly recommended. It is not required that students be computer experts in order to take the course.
This course meets the MN Art Standard for Media Art - Creation and Performance.
