The Stuff we learn about Physics

Through out the year, the students in HP Physics have numerous areas of study so far. The students have covered
  • Sound (Covers sound waves, sound intensity and resonence, and harmonics)
  • Light and Reflection (Covers the characteristics of light, Flat mirrors and their reflections, Curved mirrors and their relfections, color and polorization)
  • Refraction (Covers the concept of refraction, thin lenses, and optical phenomena)
  • Motion in One Dimension (Covers displacement, velocity, acceleration, and objects experiencing free-fall)
  • Two Dimensional Motion and Vectors (Vectors, Vector Operation, Projectile Motion, and Relative Motion)
  • Forces and The Law Of Motion (Changes in motion, Newton's first law, Newton's second and third laws, and Everyday forces)
  • Work And Energy (Work, energy, Conservation of Energy, and Power)
  • Momentum and Collisions (Momentum and Impulse, Conservation of Momentum, Elastic and inelastic collisions)
  • Rotational Motion and the Law of Gravity (Measuring rotational motion, Tangential and Centripetal acceleration, Causes of circular motion)
  • Rotational Equilibrium and Dynamics (Torque, Rotation and inertia, Rotational dynamics, Simple machines)

More about each section of the book and updates to what the students cover will be posted through out the process of the construction of this webpage. But for now, look at this great picture of what sound would've looked like if we could actually see it travel through the air.
