Each day when you first walk into the weightroom you're supposed to do a 10 minute cardio warmup on the bike or treadmill or eliptical, but 5 minutes is good enough. Then you can get started on your lifts if it's not a cardio day. Each day you should do 2-3 main or core body lifts, which basically means lift the big muscles first and the small muscles last.
