Statistics is a branch of mathmatics unlike any other. While students many times question wheather the math they learn in classes such as calculus and algebra, there is no doubt that statistics is directly applied to the real world. Wheather it be figuring out the probability that you will wake up on time this moring or the various facts collected by the U.S. census that help in many complicated economical problems, statistics is the key. Because of this direct relationshi between statistics and the real world, learning and the desire to learn are increased exponentially (pun intended). The teacher that teaches statistics at Park Center is Mr. Dillon. This teacher is unlike any other teacher at park center; some teachers need lesson plans or notes to guide them trough thier classes but Mr. Dillon knows stats by heart and can answer any complicated math problem almost instanly. So ok, because he's smart means he must be the boring lecture teacher right? Wrong, The guy is overflowing with energy that is quite contagious in all of his class periods. Just like he promised last year when everyone was choosing thier classes, "take stats, i promise it will be fun," he has not only acheived his promise, but has surpassed it. The class is a favorite to many students including myself. Math has never been this fun! So if your a sophmore or junior considering taking this class, just remember, the probability of this class being fun = 1! :)
