Be Prepared!
I can't stress that title enough to warn you about taking Spanish class. You MUST BE PREPARED TO LEARN AND SPEAK SPANISH! Learning Spanish is great and really fun, but it's also very hard and confusing to understand if you do not pay attention in class. There are a few key points to know about speaking and writing Spanish also.
- ALWAYS bring a spanish-dictionary to class each day just in case you need to use it.
- Adding accents to some letters effect the meaning the word
(Example)the word Si= if in Spanish/ but with the accented I, the word sí= yes in Spanish
- The tone of your voice also gives a different meaning to the word you're saying
- Some definitions of words in one word could be different from another dictionary or a teacher's explaination.
