A:Birds at our feeder, ducks, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits. Watching from window- we live next to a park
Q:Coke or Pepsi
A:Diet Pepsi or Ginger ale
Q:What is one good deed you have done that is a highlight in your life?
A:Since I have not saved anyone's life or rescued anyone from danger or nursed people with contagious diseases- it leaves me with a pretty ordinary life
Probably, the closest to a "good deed" for me was when I agreed to coach, alone, a soccer team of girls in 7,8,9th grade summer. The Park and Rec. Dept. tried to recruit coaches and was I ready to not be found. Then, they called me. I had coached elementary-aged kids before for baseball. Some of the girls were very experienced and "knew it all," while other girls were beginners. It was a challenge!
What started out to be a "good deed" volunteer experience turned out to be one of my lifetime greatest highlights! Our team ended up placing up there in the ranking; all 18 girls finished the season. Some went on to play high school varsity and jr. varsity soccer. It did more for my personal growth than they will ever know. Maybe someday a few of those girls will coach a team.
The next year I coached junior high boys soccer.
