In Photography A you will learn about cameras, how to develop film and how to take good pictures. For the class you can use your own camera or borrow a
SLR camera from the teacher. All the pictures you take will be in black and white, and will have to be mounted. You get three rolls of film each with specified things you have to incorporate into the pictures. You will learn how to develop the film so they are negatives, make them into contact sheets and then use the enlarger to make them into 3 ½” x 5” inch pictures. A lot of the work in the class is done in the darkroom developing pictures. At the end of the trimester you will make a binder with all of the assignments and a detailed description of the process of the assignment.
