The Computer Lab
Home

The Labs-Their are 3 different areas set aside for computers within the Media Center. oth of the previous areas are for class use only, and the teachers must rent them out before-hand. The final area, known as the walk-in lab can be used by anyone as long as they have a picture I.D. with them, though there are only so many availible.

The Small Lab-the closest Lab to the Media Center's exit and just to your left after you walk through the Detectors. Named for it's smaller size in comparison to the other two labs, it is also known as the Sweat Lab as it is generally much hotter than the rest of the school due to the computers running in such an enclosed space. This lab is mostly used by entire classes at once for class projects.
The Walk-In Lab-The Walk-In lab is the most used. This lab is open to all students during Media Center hours, as long as they have a Photo ID. The Walk-In Lab is to your right after you pass the Service Desk, through Section 1, and a door.
The Teaching Lab- This is the second lab used by whole classes simultaneousl, quite a bit larger than the small lab. It can be found through a door in the Walk-In Lab.
Note:Both the Teaching Lab and the Small Lab must be rented out before-hand by Teachers using the Red Sign-In Folder.

Amount- The Media Center has about 90 computers availible for both Student and Teacher use, though they are pre-dominantly used by the student body.
Capabilities- All of the computers in the Media Center have the same basic programs available for use: Microsoft Office Programs(Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, all programs are 2003 version), Inspiration 8, Student Tipline Video, Internet Explorer, and Netscape. All computers are also equipped with a Cd Drive, a USB port, and three drives, Home, Student Assignments, and Student Save.
