The Media Center's Mission- In the words of the Librarians, 'Service, service, service' To be a place where you can recieve help, and a center of learning.

Rules and Conduct-No Food or Liquids inside the Media Center. Do not be loud. Do not damage media Center property. Do not litter. There are no weapons allowed inside or on the premises of the Library. Be respectful and cooperative with the Media Center Staff, or they won't return the favor. Also, the Media Center wants any visiting students to sign in in the Sign-In folder on the checkout desk.

Media Center Staff-The Media center has two Education Support Professionals, with a third Technology-based ESP, and two more Library media Specialists.

The Showcase-A glass case that is located to the right-hand side when you walk through the Media Center's front door. This is where the Center's latest and most interesting updates are displayed. The latest showcasing is: Graphic Novels.

The Athenaeum's Age-The Media Center was built in 1971, making it currently Thirty-Six years old.

SmartBoard Section-(picture left)The same use as Section 2, though it is smaller, it has a Smartboard for use as well.

Meeting Areas-There are three sections inside the Media Center where people may come for any work they may have. They are mostly used by the School Teachers and there classes whenever they assign something that requires the use of books.
Section 1-Section 1 is an area similar to the Walk-In Lab, that is, it is an area where students may simply sit down and begin to work, provided that they signed in of course. It is located just beyond the Checkout desk, and outside the doors to the Walk-In Lab.

Section 2-This section is mianly utilized by whole classes who are doing a research project, or hwne there are large meetings.

Security- Sadly, due to some untrustworthy students over the years, security measures have had to be installed; Detectors have been placed next to the service desk and they will detect any attempts at book-theft.
