What do you like most about teaching, and what do you like the least?
Most: Working with Students, learning from them, laughing at and with them and myself, and watching when the light bulb comes on and listening and sharing ideas.
Least: Grading papers, watching students who are more than capable fail.

Which of the schools that you have taught at do you like best?
Park Center

Do you think the classes you teach are difficult?
For some people. Any class is going to be difficult if you don't put effort in and don't show any interest. My students like my classes because they choose to be in them.

Which classes do you enjoy teaching the most/least?
Most: A+ Certification, Know Your Rights, and Creative Computers.
Least: I don't have a least!

Why did you become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I was good at working and training with adults and I wanted a job with the same hours as my son because I'm a single mother.

If you could have any other profession what would it be?
Training horses or anything in the computer field.

Why should students take your classes?
I think students should take business clases because it gives you a taste of real life. And the skills you learn are things you can take to college and have a head start over your class.

Do most the students enjoy your classes?
I think they do. I do evaluations at the end of trimesters asking what the students liked, disliked, would add, or change about the class. Most students who take one business class take more.

If you could recommend a class what would it be?
If depends on the student and his or her interests. I recommend Computer Applications for all students as just one example.

Are you a "strict" teacher?
I'm strict in the sense that I expect the students to be responsible, meet deadlines, and act like young adults. Otherwise I like to treat students as young adults and work in and create a team atmosphere when possible.

Do you give out a lot of homework?
I assign what is necessary for students to grasp the concepts and practice what they are supposed to be learning. I test to determine if my students have learned what they need to.

Which classes would you recommend to a student that wants to have a career in computers?
Keyboarding, Computer Applications, A+, Creative Computers, Html, Javascript/Java, Internet in Business.

Do you think having a good knowledge for computers is useful for this ever growing computer world?
I believe that computers play a role in nearly everything we do and that isn't going to change. The more a person knows, the more power that person has to control his or her own destiny and enhance his or her employability creativity and future.

Do you have a lot of students that fail your classes?
Typically few students fail my classes. I teach elective classes and most students want to be there. Students who fail typically do so because they are continually absent, and don't bother to do their work.

Would you like to teach another class, if so what would it be?
I already teach eight to ten classes a year, it's difficult to even think about teaching another!

Why do you like P.C. more than Osseo?
I plead the fifth!

How much longer do you expect to be teaching at P.C.?
I don't know. Hopefully for at least seven to ten more years. I do plan to get back into the "outside" business world to help me with what I am teaching in my classrooms
