Before you begin, go View Source, File...Save As this Wordpad document to your Exercise Folder. Save as Firstname.LastName.Exdl.htm .
After reading the text and online curriculum, let's look at the web design of our school website. You will write your answers immediately after the questions on the firstname.lastname.exdl.htm Wordpad document. To practice our Basic Tags again, let's format your answers in bold.
Color
#1. Briefly surf the website. Are the colors of the text contrasted enough to easily be read?

#2. Do the overall colors of the site seem to complement each other or do they clash? If you can't remember the complementary colors, return to the Color Theory page. Explain why or why not.

#3. Do the colors set an appropriate mood for a high school website? If you need help, return to my website. Explain why or why not.

Graphics
#4. In surfing the PC website, did you see any graphics that loaded exceedingly slow(10 or more seconds)? Which one(s) if any?

#5. Are the graphics on the site used with a purpose or are they gratuitous? Support your answer with some examples.

Layout
#6. Does the page layout seem to have a visual balance? Look at several pages. Do the most important items visually stand out? Explain.

Purpose
#7. Define the target audience of the Park Center Web Page.

#8. Which of the 4 purposes (may be more than one) listed in our studies fit the PC webpages?

#9. Start at the beginning of the Park Center website. Try to find the link to send Ms. Jahnke, the biology teacher, an email. How many clicks did it take you?(note: you won't be able to click the email link because these student computers do not have email on them.)

#10. Are the primary topic categories and important internal links on every page, in the same location, in the same sequence? Explain.

#11. Does the PC page have a site map or a title splash page with main topics? Explain.
