Networking B is the first of 4 trimester classes at Park Center held in partnership with Cisco Systems, a leader in producing networking hardware and software. Students at Park Center must take Introduction to Networking A in order to take the 4 Cisco Academy trimesters. The Cisco Networking Academy is designed around a two year program, but Park Center has broken into 4 trimesters. Students may take as many or as few of the 4 trimesters as they wish but they must be taken in order(A(Intro class), B, C, D, and E). Information about the class including an overview, frequently asked questions (FAQ), a chance to preview the curriculum, and other information can be found at Cisco Networking Academies. We are very excited to have a chance to offer this type of class and feel that this offers our students an opportunity to gain very practical knowledge and skills.
Networking B takes the basic knowledge from Intro to Networking A and applies it to management of classroom lab networks. Much of the work of Networking B is done on a pod of 5 routers used to configure networks. This is a very hands on, lab oriented trimester.
