Rules of Conduct

When the PC Choir appears in public, we are representatives of the entire music department at Park Center. Especially for NWSC or on tour, wheter in performance, or rehersal you will be expected to conduct yourselves in a mature, responsible, courteous, respectful, and professional manner. Anything done by a single member of the choir reflects on the choir, director, school, and community. Just as we strive for excellence in our music, we also do so in our behavior and the manner in which we conduct ourselves.

  1. Respect your fellow choir members and choir room
    1. Use appropriate language
    2. Be sincere, fair, and kind
    3. Treat the room with respect
      1. No writing on the white boards, posters, mirrors, or pictures
      2. PICK UP TRASHS
    4. Take good care of the equipment
      1. Chairs, folders, music, etc.

  2. Be on Time!
    1. Be prepared in your chair with pencil and music ready to sing

  3. Think positive. Look creative solutions to problems. If necessary contact the choir director.

  4. Cooperate FULLY with the directors or anyone else who is in a leadership position.
    1. No talking while the director is working with the choir
    2. If a substitute is leading the rehearsal, you will cooperate fully
      with what he/she would like to do.
    3. When in a sectional working under the leadership of another student,
      the student will be treated in the same manner as your director

  5. All PSCH rules will be followed and enforced at home and "on the road."
    1. Smoking and or possesion of any alcohol, tobacco, weapons,or any mood
      altering chemical substances is strictly forbidden and will not be tolerated.

  6. You are responsible for making sure your music, performance attire,and folder are
    taken care of. Any loss or damage of school owned property
    will become your financial responsibility.

  7. Absolutely no food, gum, or beverages will be allowed in the choir room
    during the school day.

  8. No personal items such as cell phones, make-up, hand lotion, perfume,
    hairspray, combs/hairbrushes, curling irons, mirrors, etc. will
    be used, seen, or heard during rehearsal.
