The Park Center Business, Computer, and Management department is proud to Present the new IBO Business and Management Program. Though This program will not be introduced until the 2009-10 school year, our staff cannot wait. The Business and Management program is designed to give students an understanding of business principles, practices, and skills. This program will also enable students to enhance the understanding of complex business activities by using tools and easy to explain concepts. We are hoping that this class will give the student the capacity to identify concepts and arguments about the nature and activities of the individual and society.

Some of the aims of this program are to promote the importance of exploring business issues from different cultural perspectives, enable the student to develop the capacity to think critically, enable the student's ability to make decisions, and enable a student to appreciate the pace, nature, and significance of change. Mrs. Hamre seems really excited to be apart of this program. I didn't ask Mr. Poppe or Mrs. Hahn about it but if I did I'm sure they would be in the same boat as Mrs. Hamre.

After a student has successfully completed the IBO Business and Management program, he or she will recieve a second diploma at graduation. This is an IB diploma. Most colleges will look at this diploma as a plus. having two diplomas will put a student at the top of his or her class when it comes to applying for colleges. This class is offered at a higher level so students will need to apply themselves, but at the end of their High School Careers they will be glad they joined the program.
