$ Accounting $

A.) Accounting is the language of every business. This course is an introduction to the fundamental concepts and principles needed to operate a sole proprietorship service business. Students will learn basic accounting terminology and explore career opportunities. Once the basic concepts have been mastered, the students may use the computer to solve accounting problems. (It is recommended that you take A, B, C to get a full picture of the Accounting cycle.) B.) In this second accounting course, students apply basic accounting principles for a merchandising business set up as a partnership. The final project will be a business simulation. C.) The students will use the fundamental concepts and principles used in Accounting A & B for a corporation. Computers may be used to solve accounting problems after the basic concepts have been mastered. A computerized business simulation will be used to give students a practical experience using "realworld" examples. It is recommended that students with a strong interest and ability in accounting continue on to the second year of Advanced Accounting.

$$ Advanced Accounting $$
Advanced Accounting can only be taken after a student has successfully completed Accounting A B & C. Advanced accounting is designed to allow the student to apply all of the basic accounting concepts to more real world examples like accounting for businesses with departments, dealing with customers that won't pay, figuring where profits go in a corporation, and accounting for a manufacturing or Merchandising business. This Class is best suited for students that did well in 1st year Accounting. Students that would really like to pursuit a career in bookeeping or accounting should take this class.


$ Money Management $
In this course you will learn how to handle your money through budgeting, saving, and investment alternatives. You will also learn about checking accounts, insurance, and how to prepare your own taxes. Other topics will include credit, sound buying habits, and how to handle consumer issues. This is the perfect class if you always seem to run out of money two days after you get paid.
