How Long Must This Go On?
This is the very first scene of the show. As the narrator depicts the tale of how the beast came to be, the Enchantress and the young prince interact.
This is the song where the audience gets a feel for what the entire town thinks of our main character, Belle. They don't like her.
This is a beautiful song thats shows the relationship between Belle and her dear father, Maurice.
This is sung by Maurice as he is traveling to the fair with his invention. Following this is the terrifying wolf chase.
This song is bascially a hilarious proposal from Gaston to Belle, explaining to her why she should marry him. The title is simply his mindset on the reason as well as his philosophy in general.
This is Belle's monologe song in response to Gaston's proposal. She also sings about her dreams for an adventurous future
This song is sung by Belle soon after she is taken prisoner in the Beast's castle. She wonders whether such a seemingly awful place could really be her home forever.
This is Lefou's song to Gaston in order to cheer him up after Belle rejected him. In the town pub, he reminds Gaston how handsome, strong and pretty much perfect he is. This pleases him greatly.
After Maurice's tale of a horrible beast holding Belle hostage, Gaston and Lefou sing this song about a sneaky plan to get Belle to marry Gaston using "crazy old Maurice" as blackmail.
This is the first song by the Beast which shows the audience is inner sensitive and gentle side. He wonders how long the horrible spell will be on him.
