Attendence Rules

• By law, students must attend school until the age of 18. You are violating the law if you miss more then a total of 3 hours and are considered truant.
• If you know you are going to miss school, you need to have a parent or guardian call the school to tell them.
• You have 5 days to call an excused absence in. After the 5 days it will be considered truant.
• By Minnesoa Law, after 15 consecutive absences, you will be withdrawn from the school no matter what the reason is.
• If you are under the age of 18, consistant truancies will be reported.
• All truancies will be filed with the Hennepin County Juvenile Court if you are under the age of 18.
