Excuses

Excused and unexcused are the two types of excuses.
Excused Absences are acceptable.
Unexcused Absences are unacceptable.

Excused Absences Thumbs Up! Unexcused Absences Thumbs Down...
  • Sickness
  • Religious holiday and instruction (can't exceed 3 hours a week)
  • Family Vactions
  • Serious illness or death of a family member or close relative
  • Appointments that can't be scheduled outside of school
  • Approved school activities
  • Family emergencies
  • Court appearances
  • Suspensions
  • Absences without permission (parental or administrative)
  • Arriving more then 5 minuate to class (hours 2-6)
  • Oversleeping or missing the bus
  • Failure to follow proper procedures when leaving the school building
  • Babysitting
  • Work at a business (unless under school sponsered release program)
  • Any other absence that aren't considered "Excused"

All of the "Excused" absences are "Unexcused" unless a parent or guardian calls the school to tell them you won't be there.
